Ten years for Fort Wayne man in 2018 stabbing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A Fort Wayne man is heading to prison for ten years for getting drunk and high, and stabbing someone. A judge handed down Myron Logan, Jr’s sentence yesterday. Logan pleaded guilty to a drug-and-alcohol fueled fight that led to a stabbing last year. Around 8:30 p.m. on September 29, 2018, police and medics were called to the 2500 block of Lillie Street on a reported shooting.

Officers arrived and found 45-year-old Bryant Lawrence of Fort Wayne suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was deemed to be in critical condition.
In May of this year, Logan pleaded guilty to Aggravated Battery. It was part of a deal with prosecutors and the additional charges against him were dropped.
Logan accepted his fate and apologized to the victim on Tuesday. After his ten years in prison, Logan will serve two more years of probation.
